The Syriac language: basic introductory course.
Expected learning outcome: Knowledge of the Syriac language.
Skills: The student will be able to read and translate Syriac texts in prose and poetry, and explain their orthographic, phonetic, grammatical, and syntactic aspects.
Assessment criteria of skills: Exercises during the classes. Final oral exam.
